Landscape design

Development of the Land Plot

Plot development is one of the stages of creating a landscape design of a land plot. First of all, it is the creation of architectural elements that form the general frame of the landscape design project.

Main elements of garden design:

In the process of improvement of the site, the specialists of the Green Yard company use professional knowledge in architecture, construction, phytodesign, and ecology. Land improvement is carried out in accordance with the developed and agreed landscape design project.

Main elements of site improvement.

Lawns – an integral part of landscaping, a turf cover consisting of densely growing perennial grasses. A high-quality well-kept lawn adds not only the main background of the plot, but also contributes to the intensive evaporation of moisture from the upper layers of the soil, due to which the air above the lawn on hot summer days is several degrees lower. The combination of different color shades of the lawn makes it possible to beat different design ideas for the improvement of the yard.
Trees, shrubs, flower beds – garden elements provide the main features of landscape design. The shade of the trees saves from the heat on a hot summer day.
Artificial reservoirs – decorate the territory and help adjust the landscape. Artificial reservoirs are described in more detail in the section artificial reservoirs.

Landscape lighting – the use of light to illuminate the winning zones of the homestead. Landscape lighting includes a combination of the functionality of lighting the site with decorative lighting of the necessary elements of landscape design. When creating landscape lighting, street lamps with different color filters and light intensity are used. Correctly selected landscape lighting allows you to create an atmosphere of coziness and comfort, while not forgetting the practical purpose of lighting – the safety of movement around the site in the dark. Recently, the installation of autonomous lamps equipped with a solar battery and a battery is gaining popularity. Lighting from such lamps is weak, but with their help, an emphasis on the artistic effect is achieved. For the correct design of landscape lighting, it is necessary to take into account the most important principles of lighting and familiarize yourself with the main types of lamps: flood, accompanying, decorative and technical.

Retaining walls are an architectural and planning element of land improvement, which performs the functions of strengthening the soil on slopes and slopes, which prevents landslides and soil erosion. If the plot of land on which landscaping is carried out has relief differences of more than 0.5 m, retaining walls are a necessary element of landscape design.

Using retaining walls allows you to solve several tasks:
prevention of soil sliding
emphasizing the unevenness of the relief
division of functional and aesthetic zones
Retaining walls are divided into:
Retaining walls made of bricks are a common variant of retaining walls, economical, with additional facing works, it does not disturb the general landscape design. It should be noted that since there is an increased load on the retaining wall, the vertical seams in the masonry should not coincide in adjacent rows.

Retaining walls made of natural stone – have a more decorative effect, as a rule, limestone, sandstone, slate, granite, river pebbles are used. It is possible to install a retaining wall “dry”, without using mortar: the stones are selected according to their shape so that they fit as tightly as possible to each other, the gaps between them are filled with earth.
Concrete retaining walls are the most reliable type of retaining walls. After the construction of the monolithic block, a metal mesh is attached and faced with natural or artificial stone
Retaining walls made of wood are less durable, but at the same time the most aesthetic from the point of view of natural landscape design.
Auto-watering systems – perform the function of preserving and maintaining the implemented landscape design. For more details, see the section “Auto-watering”
Garden architecture – the final stage of improvement of the home plot, includes the creation of garden architectural structures: gazebos, gazebos, flower beds, rose gardens, alpine slides. For more details, see the section “Arbors, gazebos”.
